Ernesto Neto

Went to a great exhibition of Friday at the Hayward Gallery by Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto. It’s the last day today so get down there if you haven’t been. It plays on my ultimate childhood fantasy, transforming an ordinary space into another world in this case with a fabric similar to that of tights. So now you know what to do with your old ones.

The thing that struck me about this exhibition was how unpretentious and socially engaging it was. You were actively encouraged to engage with the environment breaking down the usual barrier between viewer and work of art. It’s the most fun I’ve had at an exhibition for a long time!
